These Terms govern your use of Billtov ("we," "us," the "Service"). By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Billtov helps you photograph, upload, or forward utility and municipal bills, and provides an automated translation, plain-language summary, and structured extraction of the information on them (amount, due date, account number, and similar details), along with a chat feature to ask questions about a bill or general topics.
Billtov is not a payment processor, is not your agent for paying any bill, and does not pay bills on your behalf. It is also not a source of legal, tax, financial, or professional advice — including the general-help articles and chat answers in the app, which are informational only.
The translations, summaries, and extracted details Billtov provides are generated automatically and, while we aim for accuracy, are not guaranteed to be error-free. You are solely responsible for verifying the amount, due date, and any other detail against your bill's original document, and for paying your bills on time through the provider or municipality directly.
Billtov is not liable for any late fee, penalty, interest charge, service disconnection, collections action, or other consequence resulting from a missed, late, or incorrect payment, whether or not it relates to information shown in the Service. This applies whether the underlying cause was an error in our processing, a bill you didn't see in time, or any other reason.
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. If you set up a forwarding email alias, you're responsible for approving only senders you actually recognize — Billtov holds unrecognized senders for your review specifically so you control what gets processed, but the decision to approve a sender is yours.
Billtov is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Billtov and its operators won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of money, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including (without limitation) the payment-related consequences described in Section 2. Where liability can't be fully excluded by law, it's limited to the amount you paid Billtov, if any, in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Some features may require a paid plan. Where a subscription is active, it renews automatically for the same term unless cancelled before the renewal date; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you've already paid for, without a partial refund. Coupon-granted access follows the same terms unless stated otherwise when the code was issued.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated, including approving a sender you know is sending unrelated or abusive content, or using the Service in a way that risks harm to other users or to Billtov itself.
You agree to indemnify and hold Billtov harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you (such as an in-app or email notice) before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your own country of residence.
